Chapter 11: Viśhwarūp Darśhan Yog
rūpaṁ mahat te bahu-vaktra-netraṁ
mahā-bāho bahu-bāhūru-pādam
bahūdaraṁ bahu-danṣhṭrā-karālaṁ
dṛiṣhṭvā lokāḥ pravyathitās tathāham||23||

Meaning : O mighty-armed one (Krishna), your huge form has many faces and eyes, many arms, legs, and feet. It also has many bellies and terrible-looking teeth. Seeing this frightening form, all the worlds are disturbed — and so am I.

rudrādityā vasavo ye cha sādhyā
viśhve ’śhvinau marutaśh choṣhmapāśh cha
gandharva-yakṣhāsura-siddha-saṅghā
vīkṣhante tvāṁ vismitāśh chaiva sarve||22||

Meaning : The Rudras, Adityas, Vasus, Sādhyas, Viśhvedevas, Ashwini twins, Maruts, ancestors, Gandharvas, Yakshas, demons, and perfected beings — all of them are looking at You with amazement.

amī hi tvāṁ sura-saṅghā viśhanti
kechid bhītāḥ prāñjalayo gṛiṇanti
svastīty uktvā maharṣhi-siddha-saṅghāḥ
stuvanti tvāṁ stutibhiḥ puṣhkalābhiḥ||21||

Meaning : Indeed, groups of gods come before You. Some are afraid and praise You with folded hands. After saying “May there be well-being,” groups of great sages and perfected beings praise You with abundant praises.

dyāv ā-pṛithivyor idam antaraṁ hi
vyāptaṁ tvayaikena diśhaśh cha sarvāḥ
dṛiṣhṭvādbhutaṁ rūpam ugraṁ tavedaṁ
loka-trayaṁ pravyathitaṁ mahātman||20||

Meaning : O great soul, I see that the space between heaven and earth, and all the directions, are completely filled by You alone. Seeing this wonderful and fierce form of Yours, the three worlds are disturbed and shaken.

anādi-madhyāntam ananta-vīryam
ananta-bāhuṁ śhaśhi-sūrya-netram
paśhyāmi tvāṁ dīpta-hutāśha-vaktraṁ
sva-tejasā viśhvam idaṁ tapantam||19||

Meaning : I see You without beginning, middle, or end. I see You with infinite strength and infinite arms. I see Your eyes like the moon and sun. I see Your face glowing like a sacrificial fire. By Your own radiance, You are burning this entire universe.

tvam akṣharaṁ paramaṁ veditavyaṁ
tvam asya viśhvasya paraṁ nidhānam
tvam avyayaḥ śhāśhvata-dharma-goptā
sanātanas tvaṁ puruṣho mato me||18||

Meaning : You are the imperishable and supreme reality to be known. You are the supreme refuge of this universe. You are eternal and the protector of dharma. You are eternal and the supreme person, in my opinion.

kirīṭinaṁ gadinaṁ chakriṇaṁ cha
tejo-rāśhiṁ sarvato dīptimantam
paśhyāmi tvāṁ durnirīkṣhyaṁ samantād
dīptānalārka-dyutim aprameyam||17||

Meaning : I see You wearing a crown, carrying a mace and discus. You shine with a mass of radiance all around. I see You as difficult to look at from all sides. Your brilliance is like blazing fire and the sun,
immeasurable and infinite.

arjuna uvācha
paśhyāmi devāns tava deva dehe
sarvāns tathā bhūta-viśheṣha-saṅghān
brahmāṇam īśhaṁ kamalāsana-stham
ṛiṣhīnśh cha sarvān uragānśh cha divyān||15||

Meaning : Arjuna said: I see all the gods in Your divine body. I also see many different kinds of living beings. I see Brahma, the Lord seated on a lotus. I see all the sages and all the divine snakes.
