indriyasyendriyasyārthe rāga-dveṣhau vyavasthitau
tayor na vaśham āgachchhet tau hyasya paripanthinau || 34||

My Understanding : If you lack the temperance to refrain from actions that should not be done, then your knowledge holds no value. We must purify our conscience by cultivating good intentions.

sadṛiśhaṁ cheṣhṭate svasyāḥ prakṛiter jñānavān api
prakṛitiṁ yānti bhūtāni nigrahaḥ kiṁ kariṣhyati|| 33||

My Understanding : Knowledge is valuable, but if you cannot control yourself, it becomes meaningless. You must understand that true wisdom lies in controlling your actions, especially when you know that certain things are not aligned with dharma. Even with great knowledge, it is essential to know how to behave.

ye tvetad abhyasūyanto nānutiṣhṭhanti me matam
sarva-jñāna-vimūḍhāns tān viddhi naṣhṭān achetasaḥ || 32||

My Understanding : If, driven by ego, you refuse to accept that it is God who is guiding your actions, and if you do not follow His path, you are ultimately ruining your own life. You must realize that it is the divine light from God that enables you to reach the truth, just as it guides those who follow Krishna’s path.

ye me matam idaṁ nityam anutiṣhṭhanti mānavāḥ
śhraddhāvanto ’nasūyanto muchyante te ’pi karmabhiḥ || 31||

My Understanding : Those who follow Krishna’s path, free from ego, will be liberated from their karmic cycle. God resides in every human being, and when you realize that God is with you, you will gain a deeper understanding of Maya.

mayi sarvāṇi karmāṇi sannyasyādhyātma-chetasā
nirāśhīr nirmamo bhūtvā yudhyasva vigata-jvaraḥ || 30||

My Understanding : Targets are not determined by the three gunas; they are a result of actions and their outcomes. When we focus on the results, we become attached to them, which hinders the removal of ego. This attachment can also lead to jealousy when others succeed. We should offer all our actions to God and remain detached from the results.

prakṛiter guṇa-sammūḍhāḥ sajjante guṇa-karmasu
tān akṛitsna-vido mandān kṛitsna-vin na vichālayet || 29||

My Understanding : You should not perform actions for fame, respect, or wealth. Instead, carry out your duties simply because they are your responsibilities, without expecting anything in return.

tattva-vit tu mahā-bāho guṇa-karma-vibhāgayoḥ
guṇā guṇeṣhu vartanta iti matvā na sajjate || 28||

My Understanding : When we act with ignorance, we mistakenly believe that we are the ones doing things on our own, but in reality, it is God who is guiding us. We must transcend our ego and accept that it is God who enables us to perform all actions.

prakṛiteḥ kriyamāṇāni guṇaiḥ karmāṇi sarvaśhaḥ
ahankāra-vimūḍhātmā kartāham iti manyate  || 27||

My Understanding : We should approach everything with the understanding that we are merely performing actions, but it is the divine force guiding us who is truly responsible. We must realize this truth; otherwise, we miss the essence of our purpose.

na buddhi-bhedaṁ janayed ajñānāṁ karma-saṅginām
joṣhayet sarva-karmāṇi vidvān yuktaḥ samācharan || 26||

My Understanding : People who perform their duties with attachment to the results are driven by ignorance. If you detach yourself from the outcomes, you will always be guided along the right path.

saktāḥ karmaṇyavidvānso yathā kurvanti bhārata
kuryād vidvāns tathāsaktaśh chikīrṣhur loka-saṅgraham || 25||

My Understanding : People who perform their duties with attachment to the results are driven by ignorance. If you detach yourself from the outcomes, you will always be guided along the right path.
