ahaṁ hi sarva-yajñānāṁ bhoktā cha prabhureva cha
na tu mām abhijānanti tattvenātaśh chyavanti te||24||

Meaning : I am the one who receives and enjoys all sacrifices, and I am the supreme controller, the Lord of all. But people do not truly understand Me as the Supreme Being; therefore, they stray from the right path and fall from higher understanding.

ye ’pyanya-devatā-bhaktā yajante śhraddhayānvitāḥ
te ’pi mām eva kaunteya yajantyavidhi-pūrvakam||23||

Meaning : Even those who worship other deities with faith, O Arjuna, actually worship Me alone — though not in the proper way.

ananyāśh chintayanto māṁ ye janāḥ paryupāsate
teṣhāṁ nityābhiyuktānāṁ yoga-kṣhemaṁ vahāmyaham||22||

Meaning : Those who worship Me with unwavering devotion, always thinking of Me alone — to them, I personally carry what they need and protect what they have.

te taṁ bhuktvā swarga-lokaṁ viśhālaṁ
kṣhīṇe puṇye martya-lokaṁ viśhanti
evaṁ trayī-dharmam anuprapannā
gatāgataṁ kāma-kāmā labhante||21||

Meaning : After enjoying the vast pleasures of heaven, when their earned merit is exhausted, they return to the mortal world. Thus, those who follow Vedic rituals and seek desires keep going back and forth between higher and lower worlds.

trai-vidyā māṁ soma-pāḥ pūta-pāpā
yajñair iṣhṭvā svar-gatiṁ prārthayante
te puṇyam āsādya surendra-lokam
aśhnanti divyān divi deva-bhogān||20|| 

Meaning : Those who study the three Vedas, drink the Soma juice, and are purified of sins, worship Me through sacrifices, seeking to reach heaven. Gaining merit, they go to the heavenly realm of Indra and enjoy divine pleasures.

tapāmyaham ahaṁ varṣhaṁ nigṛihṇāmyutsṛijāmi cha
amṛitaṁ chaiva mṛityuśh cha sad asach chāham arjuna||19|| 

Meaning : O Arjuna, I give heat (as the sun), I hold back and send forth the rain. I am also immortality and death, and I am both the real (existence) and the unreal (non-existence).

gatir bhartā prabhuḥ sākṣhī nivāsaḥ śharaṇaṁ suhṛit
prabhavaḥ pralayaḥ sthānaṁ nidhānaṁ bījam avyayam||18|| 

Meaning : I am the goal (destination), the sustainer, the Lord, the witness, the abode, the refuge, and the dearest friend. I am the origin, the dissolution, the resting place, the storehouse, and the eternal seed of all beings.

pitāham asya jagato mātā dhātā pitāmahaḥ
vedyaṁ pavitram oṁkāra ṛik sāma yajur eva cha||17|| 

Meaning : I am the father of this universe, the mother, the supporter, and the grandfather. I am the object of knowledge, the purifier, the sacred syllable Om, and I am also the Rig, Sama, and Yajur Vedas.

ahaṁ kratur ahaṁ yajñaḥ svadhāham aham auṣhadham
mantro ’ham aham evājyam aham agnir ahaṁ hutam||16|| 

Meaning : I am the Vedic ritual (kratu), I am the sacrifice (yajña), I am the offering to the ancestors (svadhā), the healing herb (auṣhadham), the sacred chant (mantra), the clarified butter (ājya), the fire (agni), and the act of offering itself (huta).

jñāna-yajñena chāpyanye yajanto mām upāsate
ekatvena pṛithaktvena bahudhā viśhvato-mukham||15|| 

Meaning : Others, through the sacrifice of knowledge, also worship Me. Some see Me as one with everything (in unity), others see Me as separate (in diversity), and still others worship Me in many forms, as the Lord of the universe.
