Chapter 11: Viśhwarūp Darśhan Yog
tasmāt praṇamya praṇidhāya kāyaṁ
prasādaye tvām aham īśham īḍyam
piteva putrasya sakheva sakhyuḥ
priyaḥ priyāyārhasi deva soḍhum||44||

Meaning : That is why, bowing down and prostrating my body before You, I seek Your forgiveness, O Lord You who are most worthy of reverence. Just as a father forgives his son, a friend forgives a friend, or a lover forgives their beloved in the same way, O Divine Lord, please forgive me.

pitāsi lokasya charācharasya
tvam asya pūjyaśh cha gurur garīyān
na tvat-samo ’sty abhyadhikaḥ kuto ’nyo
loka-traye ’py apratima-prabhāva||43||

Meaning : You are the father of the entire universe, of all moving and non-moving beings. You are the most worthy of worship and the greatest teacher. No one is equal to You, and there can never be anyone greater than You even across all three worlds. Your power is beyond comparison.

sakheti matvā prasabhaṁ yad uktaṁ
he kṛiṣhṇa he yādava he sakheti
ajānatā mahimānaṁ tavedaṁ
mayā pramādāt praṇayena vāpi||41||

yach chāvahāsārtham asat-kṛito ’si
vihāra-śhayyāsana-bhojaneṣhu
eko ’tha vāpy achyuta tat-samakṣhaṁ
tat kṣhāmaye tvām aham aprameyam||42||

Meaning : O friend, I called You “Krishna,” “Yadava,” and “friend” with great excitement, but I did not truly understand Your greatness. Because of my ignorance and affection, I spoke casually and without full knowledge.

I said that You were just joking when You talked about play, rest, and eating. But now, whether I am alone or in front of You, O Infallible One, I humbly ask You to forgive me, who am boundless and cannot measure Your greatness.

vāyur yamo ’gnir varuṇaḥ śhaśhāṅkaḥ
prajāpatis tvaṁ prapitāmahaśh cha
namo namas te ’stu sahasra-kṛitvaḥ
punaśh cha bhūyo ’pi namo namas te||39||

Meaning : You are the wind, Yama (god of death), fire, Varuna (god of water), and the moon. You are the Lord of creatures (Prajapati) and the great grandfather (Prapitāmaha). I bow to You again and again thousands of times. I offer my repeated salutations to You.

tvam ādi-devaḥ puruṣhaḥ purāṇas
tvam asya viśhvasya paraṁ nidhānam
vettāsi vedyaṁ cha paraṁ cha dhāma
tvayā tataṁ viśhvam ananta-rūpa||38||

Meaning : You are the original divine being, the eternal person. You are the supreme shelter of this entire universe. You are the knower and the object to be known, and the highest goal. The whole universe, with its infinite forms, is pervaded by You.

kasmāch cha te na nameran mahātman
garīyase brahmaṇo ’py ādi-kartre
ananta deveśha jagan-nivāsa
tvam akṣharaṁ sad-asat tat paraṁ yat||37||

Meaning : Why should they not bow down to You, O Great One? You are greater even than Brahma, the original creator. O Infinite Lord, God of gods, refuge of the universe You are the eternal, imperishable reality beyond both the visible and invisible.

arjuna uvācha
sthāne hṛiṣhīkeśha tava prakīrtyā
jagat prahṛiṣhyaty anurajyate cha
rakṣhānsi bhītāni diśho dravanti
sarve namasyanti cha siddha-saṅghāḥ||36||

Meaning : Arjuna said:
O Krishna, it is only natural that the world rejoices and is drawn toward You when it hears Your praises. The demons, out of fear, flee in all directions, and all the perfected beings bow down to You in reverence.

sañjaya uvācha
etach chhrutvā vachanaṁ keśhavasya
kṛitāñjalir vepamānaḥ kirīṭī
namaskṛitvā bhūya evāha kṛiṣhṇaṁ
sa-gadgadaṁ bhīta-bhītaḥ praṇamya||35||

Meaning : Sanjaya said:
Hearing these words from Krishna, Arjuna — the one with the crown — folded his hands and trembled. He bowed down, and with a choked, fearful voice, he again spoke to Krishna.
