asmākaṁ tu viśhiṣhṭā ye tānnibodha dwijottama
nāyakā mama sainyasya sanjñārthaṁ tānbravīmi te ||7||

Meaning : Oh Drona, please listen! I’ll now mention the names of the main commanders on our side, just for your awareness.

atra śhūrā maheṣhvāsā bhīmārjuna-samā yudhi
yuyudhāno virāṭaśhcha drupadaśhcha mahā-rathaḥ||4||

dhṛiṣhṭaketuśhchekitānaḥ kāśhirājaśhcha vīryavān
purujit kuntibhojaśhcha śhaibyaśhcha nara-puṅgavaḥ||5||

yudhāmanyuśhcha vikrānta uttamaujāśhcha vīryavān
saubhadro draupadeyāśhcha sarva eva mahā-rathāḥ||6||

Meaning : Here in the Pandava army, we have mighty warriors like Yuyudhana (Satyaki), Virata, and Drupada—all Maharathis whose strength matches that of Bhima and Arjuna. Along with them are other powerful and skilled fighters such as Dhrishtaketu, Chekitana, the King of Kashi, Shaibya, Yudhamanyu, Uttamauja, Abhimanyu (son of Subhadra), and the five sons of Draupadi. All of them are great warriors, full of strength and courage, ready to fight with unmatched spirit. 18 warriors are here { Dhrushtadyumna, Satyaki, Virata, Drupada, Drushtaketu, Chekitana, Kashiraja, Purujit, Kuntibhoja, Shybhya,
Yudhamanyu, Uttamowja, Abhimanyu and the five sons of Draupadi
(Parativindya, Sutasoma, Shrutakeerti, Shataneeka, Shrutakarma}.

paśhyaitāṁ pāṇḍu-putrāṇām āchārya mahatīṁ chamūm
vyūḍhāṁ drupada-putreṇa tava śhiṣhyeṇa dhīmatā||3||

Meaning : Guru Drona! Look at the Pandavas standing with a powerful army, skillfully arranged by your intelligent and sharp-minded student, Dhrishtadyumna, the son of Drupada.

sañjaya uvācha
dṛiṣhṭvā tu pāṇḍavānīkaṁ vyūḍhaṁ duryodhanastadā
āchāryamupasaṅgamya rājā vachanamabravīt||2||

Meaning : Sanjaya said: The Pandava army had arranged itself according to their planned strategy. Seeing this, Duryodhana quickly approached his teacher Drona and spoke the following words.

dhṛitarāśhtra uvācha
dharma-kṣhetre kuru-kṣhetre samavetā yuyutsavaḥ
māmakāḥ pāṇḍavāśhchaiva kimakurvata sañjaya||1||

Meaning : King Dhritarashtra said: Sanjaya, in the land of dharma, the battlefield of Kurukshetra, where my sons and the Pandavas have gathered to fight, what did they do? Tell me what’s happening there.
