My Understanding : Never let ego or jealousy take root in your heart. Respond equally to both those who are happy for you and those who are sad. Be content in all situations, and control your desires for comforts, as they are determined by your mind and are not truly essential. View both auspicious and inauspicious situations as equal, regardless of external circumstances or the seasons. Your status in life doesn’t define you—balance your mind through both sorrow and joy, maintaining equanimity in all situations.
